What I Do & Why It Matters
Hey mama,
Whether you’re preparing for your first baby or your fifth, birth is a deeply personal, life-changing event. And yet, so many women go into it feeling alone, unsure, or overwhelmed by all the decisions, information, and emotions.
I believe every woman deserves to feel supported, empowered, and seen throughout her birth journey—not just clinically, but soulfully.
That’s where I come in.
As a holistic birth and postpartum doula, my role is to walk alongside you—not to take over, not to speak for you, but to be a steady, loving presence through the most sacred and transformative time in your life.
Let’s break down exactly what that means.
What Is a Doula?
A doula is a support professional who provides emotional, physical, and informational support before, during, and after childbirth. We don’t replace your partner, your midwife, or your OB—we work with your birth team to ensure you feel safe, heard, and supported.
Unlike clinical providers, doulas aren’t there to monitor fetal heart rates or perform medical procedures. We’re there to support you, the birthing person, as you navigate labor and the postpartum period.
Why Doula Support Matters
Research shows that continuous support from a doula leads to:
- Shorter labors
- Reduced need for pain medication and interventions
- Fewer cesarean births
- Higher satisfaction with the birth experience
- More confidence in parenting
But beyond the numbers, it’s about this:
You deserve to feel held and honored—mind, body, and spirit—while bringing life into the world.
What I Actually Do As Your Doula
Here’s a peek at what it looks like to work with me through Labor of Love:
✧ Prenatal Support
- In-depth prenatal visits to talk about your birth preferences, questions, fears, and goals
- Emotional support and mindset work to prepare you mentally and spiritually

- Birth planning guidance and advocacy tools
✧ Labor & Birth Support
- On-call from 38 weeks until your baby is born
- Physical support: massage, counterpressure, position changes, breath coaching
- Emotional reassurance: calming presence, grounding techniques, and affirmations
- Partner support: helping your birth partner feel confident and involved
- Advocacy: reminding you of your birth preferences and helping you ask questions so you can make informed choices
✧ Postpartum Support
- In-home or virtual check-ins to process your birth story
- Light housework, meal prep, newborn care tips, or simply holding space while you rest
- Breastfeeding guidance and emotional care
- Referrals for additional resources (lactation consultants, pelvic floor therapy, etc.)
This support is tailored to you. Your values. Your comfort. Your needs.
Birth Support Isn’t a Luxury—It’s a Lifeline
Our culture often tells us that we have to do it all alone—that strength means pushing through, staying quiet, and figuring it out ourselves.
But I believe:
- Strength is asking for help.
- Strength is preparing with intention.
- Strength is allowing yourself to be held.
When you’re supported in birth, you start motherhood with more trust in your body, your instincts, and your voice.
Who I Serve
I work with women who want:
- A more grounded, soulful approach to birth
- Practical support blended with deep emotional care
- Someone to listen, guide, and hold space without judgment
Whether you’re planning a hospital birth, home birth, unmedicated experience, or don’t even know what you want yet—I’m here to help you get clear, feel confident, and walk into your birth with peace.
